Headline New Zealand Lions
23 Lions Terry and Julie met fellow lions whilst on holiday in New Zealand in Jan/2008. They will be in UK this year and will be enjoying Terry and Julie's hospitality and plan to have a meal out with all our members.

Headline Furniture Sale 2008
22 Our first Furniture sale of the year went with a bang. Best yet. People came from everywhere. Must be down to Lion Mike's wonderful new signage

Headline Charter Lunch
21 Our 32nd Chater Lunch held on the 3rd Feb 2008 was a great success. 75 people attended. The meal was excellant. Plus we were pleased to present £2,500 for Prostrate Cancer Unit, £1,500 for Norfolk & Norwich Association for the Blind, £2,500 for the Breast Cancer Care and £500 for the District Governors wife's appeal.

Headline PRESENTATION
19 On the 27th November 2007 the President presented Secretary Bob Walker with his chevron to celebrate 10 years of service.

Headline CHRISTMAS HAMPERS
18 At our meeting on 27th November2007 it was decided we will be giving christmas hampers to 14 familes including 25 children. Members all helped out by giving and wrapping a toy.

Headline PRESENTATION
17 At our meeting on 13th November 2007 the President presented Lion Terry, IPP, with a diamond pin to celebrate his net gain in membership during his second year in office

16 We have been joined by 2 lions who have moved from Shrewsbury. They are Suzanne and Dave. Welcome.

Headline Social Events 2007
15 Our Lion Lis has organised lots of lovely social events this year they are as follows: Visit to Caister Life Boats.19/06. Guys put on a good show for us. Jazz on the Broads. 19/07 Great evening on the water. Cromer Pier Show. 07/08. Members said really good show. Magic of the Dance(Irish dance show) 13/10. Wonderful evening Sunday Lunch at Recruiting Sargent..All Rolled Home! Quiz and Chips. 17/11 Thursford Christmas Show. 04.12

Headline District Enviroment Award. 2007
13 Our club has won District Enviroment Award and is proudly on diplay in the window of our wonderful Lions Charity Shop.

Headline New Members 2007
12 We inducted 4 new members this year. Heather had her induction at the clubs Charter. Roy, Ray and Lesley at a club meeting in March

Headline Mobile Tombola 2007
11 We have had many invations this year to take our wonderful mobile tombola to fetes and fairs. They include: Stalham High Street 18/05. Caister Carnival 24/06 Potter Heigham 19/08 Mannington Hall 02/09 Walcott 02/11

Headline Donations to Charity during 2005/6
10 In the Lionistic year July 2005 to June 2006 to Club were able to donate almost £46,000 to International, National and Local Charities.

Headline Four Club Members recieve 30 year awards
9 Four Members of Wroxham and Hoveton Lions Club were presented with 30 year service awards by the Club President, Lion Terry Vout at the clubs 30th Charter Aniversary. This was held at the Old Vicarage, Crostwick

Headline Caister-on-Sea Lifeboat
8 Wroxham and Hoveton Lions were able to help The Caister-on-Sea in their efforts to raise the money for a new replacement Lifeboat. This should be as larger and faster boat.

Headline Club again supports Norfolk Broads Lions Disabled Holidays.
7 The Club will again this year support The Norfolk Broads Lions Club's Disabled Holiday Event at Caister on Sea. We will transport eight persons to the week long event, and transport them back again.

Headline Club wins 'SCRIBE' of the year AWARD at 2004 Dist.Convention.
6 At the District 105EA Convention on Saturday 20th March at The Hilton Hotel, Norwich the Club were winners of The District Scribe of the Year Trophy. Lion President Mike Barker had much pleasure in collecting the Award on behalf of lion David Pye, who had made all the contributions for the Club.

Headline Castaways at Hoveton Village Hall Saturday 17th April 2004
5 A performance of The Castaways has been arranged at The Hoveton Village Hall, Stalham Road, Hoveton. Saturday 17th April 2004 19.30pm for 20.00pm. Bar facilities, tickets £5.00p each, available from The Lions Shop.
